At Collective Lens, we respect the rights of photographers. In Section 7 of our Terms of Use we outline our specific copyright policy with regards to submissions to CollectiveLens.com. While we very much want to spread information that can be used to help important causes, we will not condone the unauthorized use of a photographer's work. In summary:
- When providing a photographic submission you retain ownership and in no way surrender any copyright in your submission (unless you choose to otherwise mark a submission with a Creative Commons license).
- Photographers and authors will be credited for every photograph and article.
- Collective Lens may occasionally use a photo submission in another place on this site (such as in an article), but we will always give credit to the author.
A Submission not owned by you or for which you have no permission to submit may be a violation of federal and/or state intellectual property and/or other applicable laws. In other words, do not submit something that is not yours.
If you would like to use a photograph on this site, you must contact the individual photographer for permissions unless it is marked with a Creative Commons license. Photos marked with a Creative Commons license may be used, but must display credit to the photographer.
