Collective Lens: Photography for Social Change

A man organizing beer cans he had collected that morning. After speaking with him, he was getting money for food for the day. It is unfortunate that most who see people like him always assume it is for alcohol, and even if it was, it would be his choice. He has been unemployed for 3 years, no home, no phone, makes it very hard to get a job. I feel if I am going to photograph people I should at least have the decency to talk to them and find out their stories.
